End of each month brings fresh excitement in looking forward to the monthly programs ahead which are well-rounded, challenging and great fun especially partner workouts. I now try new things regularly because of the impact CrosFfit training has had on my life. Never thought I’d still be involved 2 years later hanging upside down and swinging on bars and rings. My confidence levels have improved through regularly training at the box and goal-setting principles from coaches which i apply in all areas of my life”.
All that changed once i arrived at Evolving Kilburn where after a shy beginning, and pretty much understanding that i wasn’t able to do a singe thing i was suppose to do, everything started to get into places.
As results started to show up little by little i was getting more and more hook with this little gym and its community! For the first time i am actually looking forward to my hour workout for the day and i get to feel sorry if i miss one. It’s all do to the great vibe that obviously must start from the Coaches that manage to make you fell comfortable even in those workout that seems impossible…
It’s still a long journey to finally consider myself a real Crossfitter and so many more thing i feel the need to learn before getting to that result. But improvement are showing up everyday, and it’s so exciting to try to imagine how far i could go!
I’m just very grateful to have found such a gym and such a team, which show me that training can be fun!
Along with the fitness gains, the main attractions for me are that there’s a full schedule of sessions to sign up for, which is really useful for someone with a changing work and family schedule like me. And I also know I’ll be in and out in hour, having done a really intense work out. But all this works particularly well at Evolving as the coaches are all fantastic, the box is professionally run and training in a group is so much more enjoyable and motivating than training alone”.
And no one is big headed precisely because of the above (in my opinion!).
I like being part of the Kilburn box, all the people I see there are friendly, committed to their fitness and are motivated by the great coaching team. And Scott and Emma organise the socials and things like Lift Off, which helps people to be see other members outside training when they otherwise might not.
And then you have days when things don’t work out. Your technique doesn’t work, you’re not strong enough, your motivation simply is not there. It is during these times when you need your coaches and your co athletes to help you out and pick you up. Give you that motivating jolt you’re missing, reassure you that you got one more rep in the tank, help you fix your technique and get better.
But what about fun, someone would say ? Well, Fun is made of sweat in Kilburn Evolving’s case! While Crossfit can be certainly difficult to train, at the same time, our box is a safe place where we spend some quality time, where it does not matter how we look or what we did before we went through Evolving’s front door, where we all go through these “Crossfit trials” (as we call them), without losing either the fun element of training or our enthusiasm on reaching our goals. And for this we rely on our awesome Kilburn Evolving coaches, who keep us inspired, on the support of the community and on each other”

I have found doing the SQ-WOD each day has helped keep me sane and given me the motivation to keep up the exercise too. Its great to see the friendly faces of the trainers leading the workouts each day.
